Overview

Jessie Thompson is a Dublin-based dance artist and choreographer whose practice bridges hip-hop and contemporary dance across theatre, film, and live performance. An Arts Council of Ireland dance artist-in-residence since 2025 and a project artist at Project Arts Centre, Dublin, she is the founder of the street dance battle platform Battle of Zen and has toured internationally and collaborated with leading artists and companies in Ireland, Europe, and Asia. Her work includes CRAWLER, The Floor is Yours, and AUTOMATA: A Myth Reawakened.

She will spend her time at Irish Arts Center researching and developing new work.
